Thyroid nodules symptoms and signs include hyperthyroidism, pain where the nodule is located, problems swallowing, and shortness of breath. Thyroid nodules can be either benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Most thyroid nodules are noncancerous. Treatment for thyroid nodules are balance of the thyroid gland hormones or surgery.
