Bone growth diagrams show the progression of development of the bone over a period of time. This visually displays where a bone accepts blood vessels or where cartilage develops. This type of skeletal diagram also may show a cross section of a bone and the different layers within a bone: bone marrow, osteoclasts, cancellous bone, and cortical bone.

Cancer is a multistage process that involves mutational changes and uncontrolled cell proliferation. Research has firmly established a causal and contributory role of oxidative stress and oxidative damage in cancer initiation and progression.

Oxidative stress in malignant melanoma enhances tumor necrosis factor-alpha secretion of tumor-associated macrophages that promote cancer cell invasion. Antioxid. Redox Signal. 19, 1337–1355.

Several studies have been found to be marked with increased ROS production which activates pro-tumorigenic signaling, enhances cell survival and proliferation and drives DNA damage and genetic instability. However, higher ROS levels have been found to promote anti-tumorigenic signaling by initiating oxidative stress-induced tumor cell death.
