Serratus anterior and pectoralis minor are deep muscles of the chest wall. Serratus anterior originates from the upper ribs and inserts onto the medial border of the scapula, helping to protract and stabilize it. Pectoralis minor lies beneath pectoralis major and attaches from ribs three to five to the coracoid process. It assists in scapular stabilization and movements of the shoulder. Weakness of serratus anterior can cause winging of the scapula. Deep Chest Muscles Serratus Anterior and Pectoralis Minor Diagram - Chart - diagrams and charts with labels.
